Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "SOYUZEXPERTIZA" (SOEX) of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the largest and oldest independent inspection company which is doing business in the field of the tests, inspection and certification of services and goods. The first Bureau of goods' inspection was established on April 03, 1923 in the North-West Chamber of Commerce. The task of the Bureau was to determine quality of the goods, to perform evaluation of goods' worth, sizes of defects, rates of losses and many others. In 1943 the USSR Government approved the new Charter of the All Union Chamber of Commerce and after that the Chamber performed a number of structural modifications as a result of which all independent inspection was concentrated within the Chamber. The quantity of performed inspections tremendously increased and through the territory of the USSR new branches and local Chambers were established. In connection with the significant growth of foreign trade starting from 1958 the Chamber began to perform inspections on behalf of foreign organizations. For the present main part of independent inspection is performed by SOEX which have close business relations with all inspection companies of CIS countries and well known world inspection companies. The high international level of our company is confirmed by the fact that SOEX is the sole national russian independent inspection company which is a member of IFIA (International Federation of Inspection Agencies).
